Why are we forced to breathe polluted air?
Vulnerable children and older people who are forced to breathe illegal levels of pollution deserve better. We all deserve better. So for the sake of the nation’s health, we’re going to have to fight for better – for Clean Air Everywhere. That’s why your local Green Party are joining Friends of the Earth in calling a national week of action for clean air from 24 June to 2 July. From Reading to Rushden, from Walsall to Wellingborough – we need as many people involved as possible. We want to help get the nation talking about air pollution – and the government listening before they publish the final Plan on 31 July.
People like you are planning fun family-friendly actions that will add up to a big impact; and they’re coming up with amazing things like closing down streets so children can play outside – free from polluting cars zooming past them. They’re lobbying MPs, organising creative stunts and public meetings, getting local schools on board and working with faith communities.
Get involved and secure Clean Air Everywhere
The Green Party is planning a couple of events locally and we need as many people involved as possible. If anything will improve the government’s Air Quality Plan, it’s people power. We must secure Clean Air Everywhere for now, and future generations. We can’t do it without you. Are you in? Join us or set up your own event:
